Williams, DO, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine of Erie-excellent presentation. Meeting called to order: 19:20 Approval of minutes from September 10, 2011 Treasures Report presented by Cathy Robinson-CD amount of $15,930.24, reinvested for one year-funds transferred from CD $5,000.00 for operations at the time of reinvestment-two checks wrote for PCNP conference registration fee drawings-one check for reimbursement of PCNP Executive Board Meeting in July, 2011-saving account closed money transferred ($230.70) to checking for balance $6,851.87 • we need new members •
PCNP sends reminders at time of membership renewal. But also asks regional group
to remind members concerning dues • increasing due membership fee so NPNPA has income, differed to January 2012 meeting • any ideas on how NPNPA can generate funds? Fall conference was big fundraiser several years ago but
little interest now in holding a daylong conference, decreased industry support, state conference given as reasons Membership report:-79 members as of 11/14/11-Tammy

watch for death certificate bill-Senator Pat Vance will introduce to the PA Senate, no bill# to date---VOTE

ask family members, funeral directors for vignettes regarding the hardships of delays in getting death
certificates signed-send to congress •

winners – four NP students – 3 are members – since there were no applicants for the doctorate scholarship
a motion presented by Diane Auditory was passed to give 4 - $250.00 scholarships to the students if they are all members -
“ since students are our future” - seconded by Tammy Huey, who will contact the non-member and give her two weeks
to join PCNP/NPNPA before we award the scholarship of $250.00 ( to date three checks were written and mailed to Victoria Wiesner,
Suzanne Luteran, Valerie Lager) Tammy Huey report of District 3 meeting –great opportunity to be
updated on Federal issues concerning NPs NEW BUSINESS PCNP WEBSITE AT NOT COST – DO WE RENEW (expires 3/28/12) WWW.NPNPA.ORG? unanimous decision to have our website off of PCNP; we have
to let Deanna Jones know what we want posted and any updates; won’t be able to make changes ourselves; Diane Horneman
will initiate, then it can be any officer PCNP conference registration fee – two winners for 2011 conference; at last minutes one winner
was not able to go; Do we have a drawing for 2012 PCNP conference – majority voted no, reconsider when there is an income;
if we do have drawing again it was suggested NPNPA reimburse after proof of attendance LECOM Pharmacology Conference•

Lynn McGrath asked if NPNPA would donate a door prize- membership agreed, will address
who, what, how much at March meeting• One idea is for all to donate an item towards
